Jacob Kelly is an architectural designer based in Nottingham. He completed a BA Hons in Architecture in 2008 and then went on to work in the renewable technology field, where he expanded his knowledge of renewable technologies and sustainable building techniques. This experience has allowed him to develop an independent practice, JK Architectural Design, which he set up in 2015. Since then he has completed various small-scale architectural projects in the East Midlands, with exciting results.
Jacob became a qualified Passive Haus Tradesperson in 2016. His first Passive Haus build design is due for completion in 2018 and Jacob continues to expand and hone his sustainable design knowledge through further training programmes.
Jacob is currently reading a Masters of Architecture at Sheffield Hallam University to obtain his RIBA Part II qualification.
Being based at Primary artist studios has allowed Jacob to link his design work with his creative interests, and for his technical skills to evolve alongside his art. He is able to integrate artistic collaborations with his existing practice, finding innovative ways to use space and shape.
