Antepavillion 2017 competition entry developed in collaboration with Michael Forbes.
The proposal is for a small temporary building, functioning as a micro live/work studio for a series of resident artists. The building itself acts as a display, with a large window overlooking the canal, footpath, and road. The occupying artists can display their work directly, project onto the screen or allow their practice to be observed by passers by.
The outer skin of the timber frame structure is clad in reused car panels, flattened and welded to form a patchwork aesthetic and protective shell.
